Chuck’s “Fresh Out of the Jar” super-hot earthy chile pepper salsa. The “Ghost” Chile is named because of its’ fierce heat and flavor, and representative of the tribal Northeastern Indian states (off-limits to outsiders and travelers) of Assam, Manipur, and Nagaland; the warring tribal area next to Myanmar (Burma). On the label of the jar is a photo of an actual 19th century Naga warrior trophy chest ornament awarded for taking an enemy’s head in a battle or raid. Considered a great accomplishment, a successful Naga warrior carved a representation of the deceased in wood, worn proudly around their neck.
